Kim JaeJoong (김재중) was born in January of 1986, under the sign of Aquarius, and in a numerous family. He is the the only guy in a family of eight sisters, in addition he is youngest. The oldest is 40 years old and from 1th to 5th sister married soon, reason why Jae get on well with the 6th, 7th and 8th sister, although he loves so much to all of them.
Is the main vocal of the group, and is carrying out the role of the "big brother" with Yunho. Has deep thoughts and talks straight-forwardly. His neat and tidy personality is portrayed in the dorm they live in. Cleaning every corner of the house is blatantly a part of this trait, but he also is interested in cooking and feeds everyone in the group, in addition he worries about them and take care of the small parts in the team, help others with their problems in the hard times. By this whole they consider him the “mother” of the group.
Jae is very handsome. Won the best looking award from SM and is a pretty boy. He has very feminine face characteristics, that make have a pretty face and that contrast with a great, masculine body.
The kid becomes a star
At the beginning, Jae wasn't interested in music. Might you don't believe this, but Jae didn't sing well when he was younger. His voice sounded bad and his friends laugh at him. But after seeing a performance of Korean group H.O.T (he admires Kang Ta) in the TV, he started liking music. So in his 3rd year of Junior High he went an audition but he didn't make it. So he began to work and to practice really hard, and in his first year of High School he went to another audition and passed.
Left his hometown in Chungnam to audition for SM Entertainment. Having left the shelter of home, he experienced poverty and strife before becoming a celebrity. He began to live alone in Seoul at the age of 15 years, and to survive, he began to make part-time jobs, and at the sametime he worked hard on my dance and singing.

He debuted under the name a fortune teller foretold years before: YoungWoong JaeJoong (영웅재중, also known as Hero which is the English equivalent). YoungWoong means "hero" in Korean, hence his international name, Hero.
TVXQ (U-know YunHo, Micky YooChun, Hero JaeJoong, Max ChangMin and Xiah JunSu) made their first appearance in 2003 during a Christmastime showcase featuring fellow SM Entertainment star BoA and Britney Spears. They performed their debut single "Hug" as well as an A cappella rendition of "O Holy Night" alongside BoA. The group eventually released two singles before their first album in 2004. TVXQ surprised everybody by being #1 on Korean music charts 3 months after their debut.
For preparation for their first album, the band recorded the single “Tri-Angle” with BoA and The TRAX. BoA’s profound popularity in Japan, alongside The TRAX’s evolvement in said country, helped to promote the awareness overseas of the new boy band.
Besides to sing , in 2005, TVXQ released Banjun Theater that featured the boys as budding actors, and in 2006, they also released a four-episode series known as VACATION, and are due to have their next drama Dating on Earth in the fall of 2006.
